Providence, RI – UniversityGastroenterology (UGI) announced that Jeffrey D. Nadelson, M.D. has joined the growing practice. Dr. Nadelson is fellowship-trained in gastroenterology, hepatology, and transplant hepatology. In joining UGI, Dr. Nadelson will contribute to the single-specialty group’s mission to provide cutting-edge care to their community of patients.
Dr. Nadelson specializes in the treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) having completed additional course work in the field to prepare for this position. His supplemental training will make him an asset to the practice and to patients suffering from IBD.
Dr. Nadelson completed his gastroenterology, hepatology and transplant hepatology training at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. Prior to that training, he completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the Roger Williams Medical Center where he become familiar with UGI. Dr. Nadelson is excited to join the forward-thinking practice and to return to treating the Rhode Island community. “After living in Providence and seeing first-hand the high level of care provided by UGI, I feel very proud and humbled to have this opportunity and to give back to the community,” said Dr. Nadelson.

Dr. Nadelson’s employment with UGI will become effective August 1, 2018. The West River office will be his primary location, and he will be covering both Miriam and Rhode Island Hospitals. Dr. Nadelson is a native of Andover, MA and currently resides in East Greenwich, RI with his wife and their two sons.
